Nine students from Puerto Rico and one from the U.S. Virgin Islands were able to begin classes at 澳门六合彩历史记录 in August because of this grant.听
鈥淧uerto Rico and the U.S.V.I. have been on a long road to recovery and I am hopeful that this new federal funding will continue to provide some relief to families with college students,鈥 said .听
Last fall, 澳门六合彩历史记录 announced that out-of-state tuition fees would be waived for Puerto Rican and U.S.V.I. students whose families were adversely affected by Hurricane Maria. A total of 14 students benefited from those waivers and took the opportunity to move and continue their schooling in Florida.
