澳门六合彩历史记录鈥檚 in the , along with the in , will present 鈥淥nly One鈥 on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 2 and 6 p.m. in 澳门六合彩历史记录鈥檚 University Theatre, Boca Raton campus.听
Written and directed by undergraduate student Abigail Howard to raise awareness about human sex trafficking in the U.S., specifically in Florida, the 45-minute play will be followed by an expert panel discussion on sex trafficking.听
鈥淭his play has opened the eyes of so many people that are either an audience member or even an actor,鈥 said Howard. 鈥淚t鈥檚 truly special to see the actors connect with each character and learn more about human sex trafficking in the process of doing so, this play challenges perspectives in order to realize the reality of trafficking.鈥
Howard, 21, is passionate about raising awareness of sex trafficking in our community. She started her own nonprofit organization,聽, to benefit safe houses for sex trafficking victims when she was 18 years old.
鈥淎bigail is wise beyond her years and her passion to help victims of sex trafficking by both spreading awareness and starting at non-profit at such a young age is inspiring,鈥 said , assistant professor in 澳门六合彩历史记录鈥檚 School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. 鈥淗er passion to shed light on this issue is making a positive difference in the world.鈥澛犅
