will celebrate Hispanic/Latinx Heritage with a series of events for students and staff beginning Saturday, Sept. 14 through Sunday, Oct. 15, at its Boca Raton, Jupiter and Broward campuses. The events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted.
The 2019 Hispanic Heritage Month theme is 鈥淗ispanic Americans: A History of Serving Our Nation.鈥 The theme invites all to reflect on Hispanic/Latinx American traditions, history and culture and how Hispanic/Latinx people have contributed to the United States.听听

Viewing of documentary about diasporic queer Latinx experience excavates a buried conflict around filmmaker Cecilia Aldarondo's uncle Miguel, who died at a time when AIDS was synonymous with sin. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and tells a moving story about family, faith and immigration in South Florida and Cuba. Tickets are free but must be reserved in-person through Living Room Theaters in advance.
