°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ will host events at its Boca Raton, Davie and Jupiter campuses, as well as online, to celebrate Women’s History Month. The events are free and open to °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ students, faculty and staff.

The following events will take place at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼’s Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road:

SAVI’s Women’s History Month Denim Drive
Monday, March 1 to Sunday, March 28
Collection Box Located in Student Union, Second Floor

Support survivors of interpersonal violence this month by joining SAVI in donating a pair of jeans to the organization Women in Distress.Ìý


Women and Gender Equity Resource Center Weekly Discussion
Tuesday, March 2 to Tuesday, March 30 at 2 p.m.

Celebrate Women’s History Month every Tuesday with °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ student staff and learn more about gender equity and the skills necessary to overcome socialized barriers. Topics will include imposter syndrome, negotiation and taking credit, financial health and more.Ìý

National Organization of Women (NOW): Violence Against Women General Body Meeting
Tuesday, March 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Join °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ NOW to discuss violence against women. This event is an open discussion via zoom on ways to create safe spaces for women or people of marginalized genders and how gender roles and society expectations play a role in violence against womxn.


‘The Condor & the Eagle’ with Casey Camp-Horinek
Thursday, March 4 at 2 p.m.

Join °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼’s Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Center in this film screening and filmmaker Q&A to explore how women are shaping the contemporary Indigenous movement for climate justice.

Comadres Circle Lunch
Monday, March 8 at noon

The lunch will unite Hispanic/Latinx faculty, staff, and student women to examine their identities as it relates to the decisions they made to be the women they are today. Attendees will identify skills to overcome socio-cultural barriers as it pertains to womanhood and career development.

Student Resource Scavenger Hunt
Thursday, March 11 at 11 a.m.

Join Generation Action and other RSO groups in a cross-campus scavenger hunt. Students will be connected to resources as part of our Sexual Assault Awareness Campaign, and participants who complete the scavenger hunt will receive prizes.

Be Prepared with °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼ NOW: Discussion of Reproductive Rights
Tuesday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m.

Join °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²ÊÀúÊ·¼Ç¼’s National Organization for Women for a discussion on reproductive rights. Topics include bodily autonomy, reproductive access laws that impact all people, contraception options, and discussions of ways to destigmatize reproductive health.
