White House correspondent and CNN contributor April Ryan will be at 澳门六合彩历史记录 on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. as part of a panel discussing 鈥淔ake News and the Modern Presidency.鈥 Ryan鈥檚 visit to 澳门六合彩历史记录 is part of the University鈥檚 fifth annual Robert J. Bailyn Symposium on the First Amendment which takes place each year to commemorate Constitution Day. 聽The event will take place in 澳门六合彩历史记录鈥檚 University Theatre on the 澳门六合彩历史记录 Boca Raton campus. Free parking is available in Garage II. A book signing will follow the lecture and books will be for sale at the event.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at or by calling 561-297-6124. Tickets for 澳门六合彩历史记录 students, staff and faculty are free at the Box Office in 澳门六合彩历史记录鈥檚 Student Union, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All 澳门六合彩历史记录 rate tickets must be picked up by Friday, Sept. 8 at 5 p.m.
Ryan has a unique vantage point as the only black female reporter covering urban issues from the White House. She has been the White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks (AURN) since January 1997, covering three U.S. presidents. 聽She also can be seen almost daily on CNN as a political analyst. Her books include 鈥淭he Presidency in Black and White鈥 and 鈥淎t Mama鈥檚 Knee: Mothers and Race in Black and White.鈥
Other panelists at the Sept. 19 event include Rick Christie, editorial page editor at the Palm Beach Post; Frank Cerabino, metro columnist at the Palm Beach Post: Rosemary O鈥橦ara, editorial page editor at the Sun Sentinel, and Tom O鈥橦ara, former managing editor of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
