澳门六合彩历史记录 will commemorate Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month with a series of events for students, faculty and staff beginning today through Thursday, Oct. 13 at its Boca Raton, Broward and Jupiter campuses.

鈥楲atin Fest: Celebrating Hispanic/Latino Heritage鈥

Wednesday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Social Science building (SO-44) Outdoor Rotunda

Join Student Government鈥檚 Multicultural Programming (MP) Board and the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs (ODMA) as they kick off Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month. There will be Latin cuisine and cultural performances.

My Struggle, Your Struggle

Thursday, Sept. 15 at 4 p.m.

Live Oak C & D, Student Union

Join the Black Student Union for an evening of spoken word performances that express the struggles shared amongst every race.

Zumba

Thursday, Sept. 15 at 6 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 19 at 5:30 p.m.

Join the Latin American Student Association (LASA) for an information session on how to become involved with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, which is dedicated to advancing issues affecting Hispanics and Latinos through the legislature.

Movie Night: 鈥業n the Time of Butterflies鈥

Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Multipurpose Room, Innovation Village Apartments South (IVA-S)

Join ODMA for a film highlighting the story of a woman, who along with her family, found the courage to defy a corrupt dictator in the Dominican Republic, and paid a fearful price for their actions. Following the film, there will be a candid conversation about living in a dictatorship versus a democracy.

Become a new member of LASA by attending this new member meeting. Join ODMA for a film highlighting an out-of-work Los Angeles chef who opens a latin cuisine food truck in an effort to realize his culinary potential and reconnect with his estranged family. The film will be followed by a conversation on 鈥淭he American Dream鈥 and how it is perceived among different races and cultures.

Shatter the 鈥楪lass Wall鈥

Thursday, Oct. 6 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The 鈥淕lass Ceiling鈥 is a common phrase, but there鈥檚 a new concept believed to be creating even greater barriers, the 鈥淕lass Wall鈥. What does this mean for Hispanic/Latina women? How does one shatter the wall to move ahead professionally? Join ODMA for this candid conversation on race, gender, and your professional career.
